Aoun brand Tahineh has been recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination. The product was distributed in Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.

The recalled product is Aoun Tahineh – Ground Sesame 100%, sold in 800 g containers. It carries UPC 5283000904980, lot number 0907L/THA, and a best-before date of 2026 JL08.

The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results. It is classified as a Class 2 recall and was originally published on December 13, 2025.
