The CFIA announced the recall of Barstool brand and Sweet Island brand Oysters by Atlantic Aqua Farms Ltd. due to possible generic E. coli contamination.The recalled products are:
- Barstool Oysters (100 count), Code in product: May 25, 2021
- Sweet Island Oysters (100 count), Code in product: May 25, 2021
If you have these products in your home, please do not eat them, throw them away or returned them to the place of purchase.
In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms such as severe stomach cramps, diarrhea (often bloody), and vomiting, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
