BBQ Pork Jerky Product recalled due to Foreign Matter Contamination

LSI, Inc., based in Alpena, South Dakota, is recalling approximately 2,277,540 pounds of ready-to-eat Korean barbecue pork jerky due to potential contamination with metal pieces. The product was distributed to Costco and Sam’s Club locations nationwide in the United States.The recall involves:
- "GOLDEN ISLAND fire-grilled PORK JERKY Korean BARBECUE recipe"
- 14.5-oz. and 16-oz. plastic pouches
- With a one-year shelf life.
- The affected products have "best by" dates from October 23, 2025, to September 23, 2026
- Bear the establishment number “M279A” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The issue was identified after consumer complaints about metal pieces in the jerky, which were traced back to a conveyor belt in production. The recall was initiated on October 24, 2025.
