BBU Fine Whole Wheat Flour Bulk - recalled due to extraneous materials

FDA announced the recall of 126,900 lbs. of BBU Fine Whole Wheat Flour Bulk-AA-50251, Bulk Tanker and SG Whole Wheat Fine Flour 2,000 lb. by Ardent Mills, LLC due to the potential presence of extraneous materials, specifically small pieces of stainless steel from a piece of milling equipment which was discovered during an investigative inspection. These products were distributed to distribution centers in CA and IA.

The recalled products are:
- BBU Fine Whole Wheat Flour Bulk-AA-50251, Bulk Tanker, 0083840839
- SG Whole Wheat Fine Flour 2,000 lb. Tote-AA, 918345; 918346

The recall was initiated on May 18, 2022, and its status is complete.

Customers who have purchased the affected products may be subject to infestation if not properly inspected when received, handled, and stored. To reduce the risk of infestation, customer should ensure it has proper goods receiving inspection procedures and should store the product in a clean, dry area that is well ventilated.
