Big O' Smokehouse, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of its whitefish spread due to the presence of foreign material, specifically white plastic. The affected products were distributed to 44 retail stores and 2 distributors in Michigan and Illinois in the United States.

The recall involves:
- Big O' Smokehouse Whitefish Spread
- Available in 4lb and 8oz plastic containers.
- The products were produced on May 19, 2025
- With a lot number of 1395-5
- An expiration date of July 14, 2025.
- A total of 938 lbs of the product is affected.

The issue was identified through internal quality checks, leading to the recall's initiation on June 10, 2025. The recall has been classified as Class II by the relevant authorities on June 25, 2025.
