Bluepoint Oysters, harvested by Norm Bloom and Son, are being recalled due to a potential norovirus contamination. The recall, conducted by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Aquaculture, follows a norovirus outbreak in Minnesota. The oysters were distributed in Publix and Publix GreenWise Market.Norovirus can cause severe illness, especially in individuals with compromised immune systems. Despite the potential contamination, the oysters may appear, smell, and taste normal.
The recalled product is:
- Bluepoint Oysters / GTIN: 29803100000 / Harvested on February 24, 2024 / Lot number 207.
If you purchased this product, do not consume it and we suggest returning it to the store where it was purchased.
