Agri-Mark Inc., a Vermont-based company, has voluntarily recalled its Cabot Creamery Extra Creamy Premium Butter due to elevated levels of coliform, a bacteria commonly found in feces. The recall affects seven states: Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Arkansas. The discovery was made during routine testing. The recall Initiation Date was on 3/26/2025, and the Center Classification Date was on 4/8/2025. The recall was classified as Class III.

The product in question is:
- The Cabot Creamery 8oz Extra Creamy Premium Butter, Sea Salted
- Packaged as two 4oz sticks in cardboard shells.
- The UPC for the product is 0 78354 62038 0.
- The product has a best before date of 09/09/25
- The lot number is 090925-055.
- The recall affects 189 cases
- Which equates to approximately 1,701 lbs of the product.
