Carrefour Extra has issued a recall for its Comté AOP Au lait cru cheese due to the detection of Listeria monocytogenes. The product was distributed across France in Carrefour stores. The issue was discovered after the detection of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
