Dr Bugs brand Fruit Candy Popcorn recalled due to foreign matter

10 months ago source mpi.govt.nz

New Zealand

Happy Snacks Limited is recalling a specific batch of its Dr Bugs brand Fruit Candy Popcorn due to potential contamination with a foreign object, specifically a metal screw. The product is distributed at retail outlets and supermarkets throughout New Zealand. The issue was discovered during routine quality control checks. This recall does not affect any other Dr Bugs brand products.

The product in question is:
- The Dr Bugs brand Fruit Candy Popcorn
- Sold in 150g plastic packaging.
- The batch carries a best-before date of 17th June 2025.

Customers are asked to check the date mark on the back of the packaging.

The affected product should not be consumed. Customers should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.

If you or a loved one are harmed or experiencing any symptoms, it is important to report it. Reporting can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
