Elizabeth Ann Dessert Collection products recalled due to undeclared allergen

4 months ago source fsai.ie

Recall notice

Ireland

Elizabeth Ann Dessert Collection has issued a recall for its apple and berries tart products due to the presence of an undeclared allergen, sulphur dioxide which was not declared in the list of ingredients, in specific batches. The product is distributed nationwide.

The affected products include The Elizabeth Ann Dessert Collection The Mmmm Tart! Apple and Berry, with a pack size of 450g, and The Elizabeth Ann Dessert Collection Apple Raspberry & Blueberry Tart, with a pack size of 575g. All batches with best-before dates up to and including 5 June are included in the recall.

This could potentially make the batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of sulphur dioxide.

In case you experience harm from allergens or undeclared ingredients, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve issues and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
