Mussels from the Thau pond, produced by various producers under the brand name 'Etang de Thau mussels', have been recalled due to a prefectural order DDPP34-24-XIX-098. The recall has been imposed by a prefectural decree and was announced by the Mediterranean Regional Shellfish Culture Committee. They are distributed across the whole of France by multiple distributors

MUSSELS AFFECTED:
- Produced by various producers under the brand name 'Etang de Thau mussels'
-Fall under the food subcategory of fishing and aquaculture products
- Have been marketed until June 17, 2024.
- Are typically stored at room temperature.
- Affects all lots of the product

Consumers are advised not to consume the product anymore and to return it to the point of sale. Consumers will be compensated for the recalled product through a refund.
