Food Lio Prepared Ground Beef Varieties recalled due to Plastic Contamination

Food Lion has issued a recall for four varieties of in-store prepared ground beef sold at its Midlothian, Va., location due to potential contamination with small pieces of black rubber plastic gasket. The affected products were sold at the store on Hull Street.

AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
- 73% Lean Fresh Ground Beef (All Sizes)
- 80% Lean Fresh Ground Chuck (All Sizes)
- 85% Lean Fresh Ground Round (All Sizes)
- 93% Lean Fresh Ground Beef (All Sizes)

All produced on February 6, 2026, after 11:30 a.m., with a Sell By Date of February 8, 2026.

The issue was discovered during the grinding process when the gasket became dislodged. The recall was initiated on February 7, 2026.
