Fresh Salted Lamb Products recalled due to Production Without Benefit of Inspection

Ghanaianway Restaurant and Grocery LLC is recalling approximately 5,970 pounds of fresh salted lamb products due to production without federal inspection. These products were distributed to restaurant and retail locations in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania in the United States.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
- Labeled “GHANAIANWAY AFRICAN FOODS SALTED LAMB (KOOBI).”
- 15-lb. plastic-lined boxes
- The products lack a USDA mark of inspection and do not display a best-by or production date.
- Some packages are unlabeled.
- The affected items have a 1-year shelf life.
The issue was identified during routine FSIS retail surveillance activities. There have been no confirmed reports of illness related to these products. The recall was initiated on December 9, 2025.
