Fruit Dôme Inc. has issued a recall for its Thyme product due to a potential E. coli contamination. The affected product has been distributed in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec. The issue was identified during routine testing by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The recall is classified as Class 1, indicating a situation which has a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.The recalled product is:
- Fruit Dôme brand Thyme
- Packaged in 500g sizes.
- The product carries no UPC but can be identified by the batch code "Lot 127".
- The recall affects all products with this batch code.
Consumers are advised to not consume the product and to return it to where they purchased it.
