Granarolo New Zealand Limited has issued a recall for Ghiotti brand Chorizo Velita due to incorrect date marking. The product was sold in supermarkets and retailers across New Zealand and was not re-exported.AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- Ghiotti brand Chorizo Velita
- In 150g plastic packaging
- With a Best Before date of 21.05.2026.
- The correct date mark should be Use By 21/02/2026.
- The product was imported from Spain
- No other Ghiotti brand products are affected.
The issue was discovered on March 6, 2026, when the recall was initiated. The recall is classified as a Class II recall.
