A recall has been issued for various goat's cheese products by SuperValu and Freshly Prepared by Our Cheesemongers due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes. These products were distributed in stores across Ireland.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
PRODUCT: SuperValu Goat's Cheese
- Pack size: 110g
- Use by dates: 07/08/2025 and 12/08/2025
PRODUCT: Freshly Prepared by Our Cheesemongers Goat's Cheese
- Pack size: Pack sizes vary
- Use by dates: 11/08/2025 and 12/08/2025
PRODUCT: SuperValu Chevre Log
- Pack size: Pack sizes vary
- Use by dates: All use by dates up to and including 12/08/2025
The issue was identified during routine testing. The recall was initiated on 12 August 2025, and it is classified as a Category 1 recall. There is no current evidence linking this recall to any listeriosis outbreak related to other food products.
