September 21st, 2025:
E&E Foods Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of Goldband Snapper fillets due to mislabeling. The product, distributed in Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, and Utah in United States, was found to contain Sharptooth Snapper instead of the labeled species.

AFFECTED PRODUCT:

1) PRODUCT: Goldband Snapper (Pristipomoides spp) Fillets Skin-on Frozen
- Size: 8–10 oz
- Item Number: #991900011
- Packaging: Individually vacuum-packed (IVP) portions in a plain white cardboard box, net weight 10 lbs per box
- Production Date: 21824, 21924, 22124, 22224
- Product Quantity: 925 cases
- Additional Information: Product is wild-caught, product of Indonesia, distributed by E&E Foods, Renton, WA. Recalled because testing confirmed fish is a Sharptooth Snapper.

The issue was discovered through testing that confirmed the fish was mislabeled. The recall was initiated on September 11, 2025, and is ongoing. The recall has not yet been classified.
