Recall notice

GOLDEN MAPLE Chicken Bologna - recalled due to import without benefit of inspection

4 years ago source fsis.usda.gov

United States

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 1,224 pounds of fully cooked chicken bologna products by Erie Meat Products Ltd, the importer of record in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada because they were imported and distributed into the United States without the benefit of FSIS import reinspection. These products were shipped to correctional institutions in AL, LA, MS, and TX.

The recalled product is:
- 24-lb. cases containing 12, 2-lb vacuum-packed packages of “GOLDEN MAPLE Chicken Bologna” with product code 91203 and “BEST BEFORE” dates of “2023-APR-13”, ”2023-APR-18”, and “2023-MAY-03”.

These products were imported on or around November 15, 2021, each box bears the Canada establishment seal “713.”. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in institutional freezers. Institutions that have purchased these products are urged not to serve them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

In case you are experiencing food poisoning symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
