Sunson International Co Limited has issued a recall for Haichijia brand Hua Jia Jiang Hu (Clam Vermicelli) due to undeclared allergens, specifically gluten and wheat. The recall affects all batches and dates of the product, which is distributed in select locations in Christchurch and Invercargill. The product is available at Sunson Asian Food Market locations and Umi Land Limited.The issue was identified due to the presence of undeclared allergens, which could pose a risk to consumers with gluten or wheat allergies. No other Haichijia brand products are affected by this recall.
The affected product is sold at the following retailers:
Sunson Asian Food Market – 17 Lodestar Avenue, Hornby, Christchurch
Sunson Asian Food Market – 20 Main North Road, Papanui, Christchurch
Sunson Asian Food Market – 386 Riccarton Road, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch
Umi Land Limited – 61a Tay Street, Invercargill.

- Sold in 143g plastic cups.
- All batches and dates are included in the recall.
- The product is imported from China.
