Hancook Limited has issued a recall for its Hancook brand Sundae (Korean black sausage) due to insufficient food safety controls. The product was distributed to several retailers in the Auckland region, New Zealand, and has not been exported.The recall affects:
- Hancook brand Sundae (Korean black sausage)
- All batches and dates
- 500g
- Packaged in plastic.
- The affected product is sold at the following retailers in the Auckland region:

H Mart Albany: 2A/2 Tawa Drive, Albany, Auckland, 0632
H Mart City Limited t/a iMart: Lvl1 9, 15 Wakefield Street, Auckland Central, 1010
H Mart Howick Limited t/a H Mart: 166C Harris Road, East Tamaki, Auckland, 2013
H Mart Henderson: 42 Paramount Drive, Henderson, Auckland, 0610
New Meet Limited t/a NH Mall: 106 Glendhu Road, Bayview, Auckland 0629

The issue was identified by the company, and the recall was initiated on October 9, 2025. No other Hancook brand products are affected by this recall.
