    You can get food poisoning from sausage made from beef, pork, chicken, and more. Pre-cooked sausage can contain listeria. Uncooked sausage can be contaminated by E.coli especially if not cooked all the way through. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and bloody diarrhea.

    The issue was discovered due to suspicion of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
