Travelling from Spain to India, I arrived to my destination on Air India flight AI 451 from Delhi to Vishakhapatnam the 18 February 2024. We were offered a late lunch onboard consisting of a vegetable roll and a scrambled egg sandwich. One of us who did not... See More eat the lunch did not get sick. The two of us who ate the lunch got sick by the next day. The diarrhea got worst and worst, until the 22 February we had to go to urgency where we were placed an intravenous line. We were soon released that same day, but then my condition worsened, and the 24 February I started having strong fever, fainting, feeling very weak, vomiting and realizing that I hadn't urinated in 3 days. I would flush anything I drank in less than 10 minutes, and was severely dehydrated. I was quickly hospitalized and remained in bed with an intravenous line and antibiotics until the 28 February, when I was released still very weak and not feeling well. My return flight to Spain departed the 29. Until that moment, I could do no other thing than remain in my hotel room. Later analyses back in Spain confirmed an infection by Salmonella, Shigella and enteroinvasive Escherichia coli, and I have been prescribed more antibiotics. That sandwich ruined an entire trip and I will never trust plane food again. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Weakness See Less

My niece, daughter, and I all had severe food poisoning from this location for at least 48 hours from eating at Piada. Around 7pm three days prior we decided to eat at Piada. I ordered the Diavolo sauce while daughter and niece got the marinara red sauce.... See More Noticed both were near the last of the containers and whatever wasn’t scooped onto the noodles, the leftovers were poured and mixed into the new sauce. When confronting the manager of the illness they mentioned that it is standard procedure to pour the old leftover sauce into the new sauce to help not waste food. Standard procedures should also include not violating health codes when heating food longer than 4 hours by pouring previously heated food into newly heated food in which would contaminate the new heated batch. The manager advised we go to the hospital to confirm the food poisoning we received a couple of hours after consuming their food which included uncontrollable vomiting, diarrhea, fever, cold sweats, and inability to move for two complete days while not being able to retain fluids. On day three was able to gain enough strength to shower and drink fluids but still shakey and unable to eat. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Sweating See Less
