Horgans, an Irish food company, is recalling a batch of its Smoked Cheddar cheese due to the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The product has been distributed across Ireland through various retail outlets.

The recall was initiated after the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes was discovered. The bacteria can cause symptoms ranging from mild flu-like symptoms to severe complications, particularly in vulnerable individuals such as pregnant women, babies, and the elderly.
