Idaho Smokehouse Ready-To-Eat Beef Stick Products recalled due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination

Idaho Smokehouse Partners, LLC is recalling approximately 29,541 pounds of ready-to-eat beef stick products due to potential contamination with foreign material, specifically metal, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The contamination issue was discovered after Idaho Smokehouse Partners received two consumer complaints reporting metal pieces in the product.The product in question is:
- The 1.15-oz vacuum-sealed packages of “CHOMPS ORIGINAL BEEF STICK MILD”
- Produced from January 13 to January 15, 2025.
- The packages have an expiration date of 02-10-2026
- Lot code 25016 printed on the label.
- The recalled items bear the establishment number “6220A”
- Were distributed to retail locations in California and Illinois.
Consumers are advised to not consume the product and to return it to where they purchased it.
