FSIS issued a public health alert for this product due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination on October 06, 2013. The Kirkland Signature Applewood Smoked MASTER CARVE HALF HAM Boneless With Natural Juices was shipped to retail locations in California and Nevada. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product.
Additional details of the affected product:
- Kirkland Signature Applewood Smoked MASTER CARVE HALF HAM Boneless With Natural Juices produced on Sept. 25, 2023, and bears the establishment number “EST. 17823” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The problem was discovered after the establishment’s laboratory testing indicated the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The establishment notified FSIS that some of the affected product was distributed into commerce.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them.

Costco announced the recall of KirklandSignature Master Carve Half Ham, Natural Juices Boneless Smoked Half Ham by Sunnyvalley Smoked Meats Inc due to potential Listeria contamination. This product was sold between September 26,2023 and September 29, 2023 at Costco stores in California's Bay Area and western Nevada.
The recalled product is:
- Kirkland Signature Master Carve Half Ham, Natural Juices Boneless Smoked Half Ham, Item #46655. Use / Freeze by Jan 20 24 and Lot # 264 - 4 sticker.
Please do not eat the affected product. Return the item to your local Costco for a full refund.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometime fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
