La Vera Group Pty Ltd, trading as La Vera Cheese, has issued a recall for its La Vera Fresh Ricotta 500g due to potential E. coli contamination. The product was distributed in independent food retailers across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and Western Australia.The recalled product is:
- La Vera Fresh Ricotta (500g)
- Packaged in a round plastic tub with a black lid and a red and black label.
- It includes the date markings 28 FEB 26, 04 MAR 26, 05 MAR 26, and 06 MAR 26.
- The recall affects the 500g size of the product.
The issue was identified due to potential microbial contamination. The recall was initiated on 12 February 2026.
