Lekker Biltong Slices recalled due to Packaging Fault and Contamination Risk

Protea Foods Pty Ltd is recalling its Lekker Biltong Slices Traditional (100g) and Peri-Peri Chilli (40g) due to a packaging fault leading to microbial contamination. The products have been available for sale in Coles Supermarkets and online in NSW, VIC, and WA, as well as independent retailers in VIC and WA.

The issue was discovered due to a packaging fault, which resulted in microbial contamination, specifically mould. Consumption of food products contaminated with mould may lead to illness.
