Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles - recalled due to unauthorized pesticide

The FSAI announced the recall of Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Hot Chili Flavour due to the presence of the unauthorized pesticide ethylene oxide. This pesticide is not authorized for use in foods sold in the EU.The recalled product is:
- Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Hot Chili Flavour; pack size: 60g, Best before date: 27/07/2022, Country Of Origin: Thailand.
Although the consumption of the contaminated product does not pose an acute risk to health, there may be health issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period of time. Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimized.
If you have the recalled product in your home, please do not eat it, throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
