Ahi Mokopuna Limited Partnership has issued a recall for Akaroa King Salmon brand Mānuka Cold Smoked Slices and Trim due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The products were sold in the South Island at specific locations in Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
PRODUCT: Akaroa King Salmon Mānuka Cold Smoked Slices (100g)
PRODUCT: Akaroa King Salmon Mānuka Cold Smoked Trim (500g)
- With a use-by date of December 29, 2025
- Batch number 46780.
- These items are packaged in plastic packaging.
- No other Akaroa Salmon products are affected.
- The products were not exported.
The products were sold in the South Island at:
- Akaroa Salmon Wigram Factory Shop: 89 Treffers Road, Wigram, Christchurch 8042
- Beckenham Butchery: 7/140 Colombo Street, Sydenham, Christchurch 8023
- Taste Nature: 131 High Street, Central Dunedin, Dunedin 9016.
The issue was identified on December 9, 2025. There have been no reports of illness related to this recall. The recall has not been classified into a specific class.
