Despi Le Charcutier, a French meat company, has voluntarily recalled its Merguez X5 product due to a suspected presence of salmonella. The product was distributed throughout France via Grand Frais and Provenc'Halles between May 23 and May 31, 2024.The recalled product is:
- Merguez X5 under the brand Despi Le Charcutier.
- The product details include the following batch numbers: 144/9003, 145/9003, 148/9003, and 149/9003
- All with best-before dates ranging from June 7 to June 12, 2024.
- The product is packaged under a protective atmosphere and should be kept refrigerated.
If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.
