The CFIA announced the recall of New World brand Organic Sesame Tahini by New World Natural Foods Inc. because they contain almond and cashew which are not declared on the product label.The recalled products are:
- New World Organic Sesame Tahini - Raw (365 g), UPC: 0 59443 40073 1, LOT# 201573 Best Before 30 JUL 2022.
- New World Organic Sesame Tahini - Raw (365 g), UPC: 0 59443 40076 2, LOT# 201844 Best Before 30 JAN 2022.
These products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec.
If you have an allergy to almond and cashew do not eat them, they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw them away or returned them to the place of purchase.
