Nong Shim Seafood Ramyun - recalled due to Unauthorized Pesticide

The FSAI announced the recall of batches of Nong Shim Seafood Ramyun due to the presence of the unauthorized pesticide ethylene oxide. This pesticide is not authorized for use in food sold in the EU.Although the consumption of the contaminated product does not pose an acute risk to health, there may be health issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period of time. Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimized.
The recalled product is:
- Nong Shim Seafood Ramyun, pack size: 125g, Best before date: 27.01.2022 and 03.03.2022, country of origin Republic of Korea.
