O'Flynn's Gourmet Sausage Company has issued a recall for its Traditional Breakfast Sausages due to the detection of Salmonella. The product was distributed across Ireland.The product recalled is the 454g pack of O'Flynn's Gourmet Sausage Company Traditional Breakfast Sausages. The batch code is 241025 with a use-by date of 06/11/2024. The product's approval number is IE 2917 EC.
Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale. Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batch.
The presence of Salmonella was discovered during routine testing. Symptoms of Salmonella infection typically develop between 12 and 72 hours after consumption. The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days and can be severe enough to require hospital admission in some cases.
