Recall notice

Peppered Dried Catfish recalled due to unauthorized import and lack of USDA inspection

11 months ago source fsis.usda.gov

67701 United States

C&T Produce Wholesale Inc., operating as L&V Food Supply, is recalling approximately 1,152 pounds of peppered frozen, dried Siluriformes fish products. The products were produced in Vietnam by an establishment not eligible to export to the U.S., and were not presented for import reinspection. These items were distributed to retail locations in nine states including California, Florida, Illinois, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington in the United States. The issue was discovered during routine FSIS surveillance activities of imported products at a retail store in California.

The recalled product is:
- A 2-lb. cardboard box containing "Peppered Dried CATFISH."
- The product does not bear an establishment number or a USDA mark of inspection.

Consumers are advised to not consume the products and to return them to where they purchased them.

If you are experiencing symptoms after eating this product it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
