The Quaker Oats Company today announced an expansion of the December 15, 2023, recall to include additional cereals, bars and snacks. The Quaker Oats Company announced the recall of specific granola bars and granola cereals because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled products were sold throughout the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan. To date, Quaker has received no confirmed reports of illness related to the products covered by this recall.
Salmonella, is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
Consumers should check their pantries for any of the products listed in the link below and the images attached.
This recall applies to the specific products listed in the link below. No other Quaker products are impacted.

How does our food get so contaminated all the time? The lack of safety/safeguards in companies in our country is astonishing. We as a nation need to do better so that we’re putting things in place and setting higher standards with our food.

Me and my children as well….. and we all had granola bars today too 🤦🏻♀️
I did research coming from being Canadian myself.. We have our own Quaker factory in Peterborough. We are safe.
I have this product. What do I do with it? Do I return it to Costco?

I would assume that’s the best course of action. Or maybe call Costco and see.
