Hormel Foods Corporation is recalling approximately 4,874,815 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen chicken products due to potential contamination with metal pieces. These products were distributed to foodservice locations across the United States between February 10, 2025, and September 19, 2025.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:

- 13.9-lb. cases
- With item code “65009” printed on the label.
PRODUCTS: “Hormel FIRE BRAISED MEATS ALL NATURAL BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST”
- 13.8-lb. cases containing 3-oz
- With item code “77531” printed on the label.
PRODUCTS: “Hormel FIRE BRAISED MEATS ALL NATURAL BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST”
- 13.8-lb. cases containing 4-oz.
- With item code “46750” printed on the label.
PRODUCTS: “Hormel FIRE BRAISED MEATS ALL NATURAL BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST”
- 23.8-lb. cases containing 5-oz.
- With item code “86206” printed on the label.
PRODUCTS: “BONELESS CHICKEN BREAST WITH RIB MEAT”
- 13.95-lb. cases
- With item code “134394” printed on the label.
The affected products bear the establishment number “P-223” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The issue was identified after customer complaints about metal pieces in the chicken products. The contamination was traced back to a conveyor belt used in production. The recall was initiated on October 25, 2025.
