The French brand Itineraire De Nos Regions, has voluntarily recalled its Crottin De Chavignol AOP ITM X2 cheese product due to the presence of Escherichia coli STEC 026. The product was distributed nationwide through Intermarche stores. The company has since initiated a recall to prevent consumers from falling ill.

The recalled product is:
- A blister pack of two cheeses
- Bearing the brand name Itineraire De Nos Regions
- The model name Crottin De Chavignol AOP ITM X2.
- The product has a GTIN of 3250390155478
- Lot number of 123-01
- Best before date of June 29, 2024.
- The product was sold between May 21, 2024, and June 27, 2024.
- The product should be kept in the refrigerator.

If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.

In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms such as watery diarrhea (often bloody), vomiting; stomach cramps; and mild fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
