The Atelier du Fromage has voluntarily recalled its pre-packaged Saint Nectaire AOP fermier cheese due to the detection of Listeria monocytogenes. The product was distributed across France through Grand frais, Fresh, Monmarche.fr, and Monmarche.fr Le Magasin. The presence of Listeria monocytogenes was discovered during routine testing. Listeria monocytogenes is the agent responsible for listeriosis, a serious illness that can lead to severe complications. The recall procedure is expected to conclude by June 7, 2024.

The recalled product is:
- A no-brand Saint-Nectaire AOP fermier cheese
- Pre-packaged in a faux-wood tray and plastic film.
- Lots: A41370189, A41420067, A41430076
- Best-before dates: 29/05/2024, 03/06/2024, and 04/06/2024 respectively.
- The product has been on sale since 18/05/2024.

If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.

In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
