The Albion Cheese Factory has voluntarily recalled its unbranded goat cheese due to the potential presence of Yersinia enterocolitica, a bacteria causing acute gastroenteritis. The product was distributed in the Alpes de Haute Provence and Vaucluse departments. Was sold at various locations including the Cheese Shop, Vival, Les Tables d'en Haut, Happiness is in the Cellar, Bistrot Saint Trinit, Bistrot de Lagarde d'Apt. The recall procedure is expected to end on Thursday, August 15, 2024.The recalled product:
- Named Goat Pitchoun
- Comes in batches dated from 06/24 to 07/15
- Was sold from 06/26/2024 to 07/19/2024.
- The product is required to be kept refrigerated
