Updated: Al-Rabih Tahini - recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination

The CFIA announced the recall of Al-Rabih brand Tahini by Phoenicia Group Inc. due to possible Salmonella contamination. This is an update to include additional product information, the first recall was issued on June 14, 2021. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.The recalled product is:
- Al-Rabih Tahini (100% Sesame) – Sesame Paste (4.54 kg), UPC: 5 281003 551101, Lot #129130 27320 Best before 22/SE/04.
This product was distributed in Ontario, Quebec, possibly nationwide in Canada.
If you have the recalled product at home, please do not eat it, throw it away or returned it to the place of purchase.
