I bought a chicken Cesar salad on Monday July 18 th at 12:17 pm. I ate it in the car on the way to my sons doctor appt. . We had driven up to Spokane that morning from our home which is 2 hrs away. In about 1/2 hr to 40 mins I started to feel sharp pains in my stomach and 10 mins later(approximately) I started to fell nauseous. I hurried to the bathroom and proceeded to throw up for about 21/2 hrs. I was shaken and weak but able to finally get to the car. My husband got to a hotel close by and rented a room so I could lay down, because I was too sick to travel home. I fell asleep and woke up about 6.00 pm. Feeling better but very weak. The next morning we returned to Trader Joe’s to tell them about the salad. The manager didn’t seem too concerned because he hadn’t had any one else report any problems. He riembursed us for the salad and we went on our way. I told him I knew it was the salad and to watch out for them. I don’t think he believed me , he didn’t seem concerned.
Hello, I am working on a story tonight for NBC Nightly News about the Trader Joe's recall on some of their salads. Would you be willing to talk to us? I can be reached at Laura.Allenbaugh@nbcuni.com. Thank you, Laura
