My elderly father ordered & ate a salad from Adam’s restaurant in Jamestown, NC on 12/14/24 & began having diarrhea & vomiting 2 days later. He became dehydrated & passed out in the bathroom so we had to call EMS to take him to the hospital. Tests found that he had SAPOVIRUS which is similar to the NOROVIRUS. He remained in the hospital for 1 week & then had to go to a skilled nursing home to recieve physical therapy in order to get his strength back. It messed up Christmas for our family. He’s miserable because he’d much rather be at home & not weak. We are thankful he didn’t die because viruses like that can be very serious to an elderly person. We know it was the salad that made him sick because he didn’t finish all of it & put it back in the fridge where I found it. It stunk up the refrigerator terribly. We won’t be eating at ADAMS anymore. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Something else, Stomach Pain, Chills
