Mozzarella Flatbread Illness Alert - Aldi, Cranberry Township Pennsylvania

After consuming a flatbread pizza topped with mozzarella cheese that we purchased at aldi’s in Cranberry Twp, PA, my boyfriend and I both experienced all the symptoms listed above within 30 minutes to 2 hours after eating. Nausea, diarrhea, severe stomach pain and cramping, vomiting, chills, and fevers. We shared no other ingredients for the meal other than those exact two items, both which we had never eaten before so we have narrowed it down to exactly the bag of low weight mozzarella shredded cheese and the artesian flatbread, both purchased on 3-10-25. Our symptoms perfectly match up with E. Coli food poisoning and we wanted to report this immediately so hopefully the cheese (most likely the culprit of the two) can be investigated and taken off the shelves. I am a pharmacist and no amount of medication could help, only throwing up all that we had consumed and a couple hours of diarrhea and fever and just fighting through the symptoms. Thank you for reading this and for helping us solve this problem so that others don’t get sick as well. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills
