Friends Sick After Pizza - Amici's East Coast Pizzeria, San Francisco California

1 year ago reported by user-vdtvp769 business

Amici's East Coast Pizzeria, Lombard Street, San Francisco, CA, USA

2200 Lombard Street, San Francisco, 94123 California, United States

Three friends all got food poisoning from sharing pizzas from here. Vomiting, chills, fever, headache, nausea, muscle pain. We think it was norovirus and it was from all three types of pizza because some of us ate different pizzas yet we all got very sick. It’s been a few days and we are still unwell. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Chills, Headache, Muscle Pain

Speculating about the cause without medical confirmation weakens the reliability of your assumption about foodborne illness from the pizza. The fact that you and your friends "shared pizzas" means it’s entirely possible that one of you was already infected with a virus and transmitted it to the others, rather than the illness originating from the food itself. Viruses like norovirus are highly contagious and can spread through close contact or contaminated surfaces, not just through food. Additionally, without proper laboratory testing, you cannot definitively attribute your illness to norovirus. They are inventing illnesses blaming the pizza when proper testing was not done, and when the user clearly stated that he was with other people and the "shared" the same pizzas, meaning some of them was probably carrying a virus and contaminated the group of friends.
