I bought a pack of 4 chocolate muffin s on Monday 4th May 2020. I ate one in the evening and later went to bed. I was woken up an hour or so later and had to rush to the toilet so that I could throw up. I was violently throwing up for 2-3 mins before making my way back to bed. Later, I was compelled yet again to rush to the toilet to vomit. I could also see the remaining bits from the muffin in the toilet and around the toilet bowl along with globules of blood where I must have burst a few blood vessels due to the violent vomiting. The best before date was 19th April 2020. I returned the two remaining muffins to Asda on Monday 8th May 2020. I explained to the woman at the Kiosk my encounter and my vomiting symptoms. She apologised to me and said she would repoet it and get the other items checked. She not only reimbursed the £1 I had spent on the muffins but also gave me £5.00 worth of vouchers (initially, she was only going to give me £2.00 worth of vouchers, but when I said I would give a good review, she then offered to give me the additional £3.00 worth of vouchers). I thanked her and entered the store to do my shopping. I went straight over to the muffins and found another one dated 19th April still for sale. I mentioned this to one of the male members of staff and explained I had already reported my experience to the woman at the Kiosk. He said he will report to the manager and whilst going through the remaining stock, said that he wasn't sure who was on shift on Monday for that particular department, and he then stated that obviously, they weren't doing their job properly. | Symptoms: Vomiting
