Post-Trip IBS from Dinner - BJ's, Phoenix Arizona

2 years ago reported by user-fxcdz846 business

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, North Tatum Boulevard, Phoenix, AZ, USA

21001 North Tatum Boulevard, Phoenix, 85050 Arizona, United States

We dined at here on our second day in AZ on 1/22, in the evening for dinner. Our daughter threw up multiple times that night and my husband and I both had diarrhea for the reminder of our trip. We decided it was a stomach bug or the different food and water we were drinking but now I’m almost positive I can trace it back to here. Once we got back my husband spent a week not eating much and having lower energy, and shortly after he recovered I spent about a week and a half with similar symptoms. I’ve had constant GI issues since the trip and finally have gone in to see a specialist that has determined I have post infectious IBS. The only other thing we had that day was Shake Shack, but that was much earlier and no symptoms afterwards. My husband and I both had salads at here and we all had pizookies- probably what caused it. Regardless we won’t be going back. It’s too bad because the service was stellar and it’s a great place for families. Luckily we don’t have one where we live! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps

It’s not very helpful if you wait three months to post about it. Whatever bug was going around at that restaurant is probably gone now.
