Turkey Meal Illness Report - Boston Market, North Miami Beach Florida

8 years ago reported by user-gkcd2688 business

Boston Market, West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, FL, United States

16251 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, 33160 Florida, United States

My family all had chicken dishes and I was the only one who had turkey. Halfway through my meal I got bad stomach pains, thinking they were mentrual cramps, but 45 minutes after finished my meal,
I threw up two times in the shower, as well as diarrhea. I drank 7 Up and water, all but chugging it because I was so thirsty, then threw that up a half hour later. I had bad diarrhea all night, got lightheaded if I walked around too much, had stomach pains from vomiting. Ended up going to urgent care and got some prescriptions for intestinal pain and diarrhea. Feel better the second day, but never had any sort of food poisoning while eating out. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Lightheaded

Viral gastroenteritis is not food poisoning..it is viral ( a virus ). Food had nothing to do with it.

The doctor who examined me had a thick accent and what information I gave them they went by that. I never did any tests to prove it was indeed food poisoning, but regardless, it's cause by contaminated food or people and should be known because people handle our food. The same person handled all our food, so I either I was just the lucky one who got it or it was something more. *meh*
