Monte Cristo Sandwich Illness - Cafe Orleans, Anaheim California

My family and I ate at Cafe Orleans on Dec. 11th, 2025. The items we ate were the Braised Short Rib, Monte Cristo Sandwich, Chicken Gumbo Soup, and Cesar Salad.

I shared two small bites of the Monte Cristo with one of my family members, but I was the only one who ate the majority of the sandwich. At around 8:30 PM, I suddenly started feeling ill while in the park. Rushing back to the hotel, I started getting sick roughly at 9:00 PM. I was sick throughout the night until about 4:00 AM.

After talking to medical professionals, and discussing what i ate beyond that during the day, it is suspected the food at Orleans gave me food poisoning.

I stayed at the hotel all day on the 12th, and half the day on the 13th.

This seems like a typical case of food poisoning and thought I should make a report. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Chills, Headache
