Diabetic Reaction to Cereal - Cheerios, Toms River New Jersey

3 years ago reported by user-fnfwb731

Cheerios, Toms River, NJ, USA

Toms River, New Jersey, United States

I had a cup of Multigrain Cheerios on Friday, May 27, 2022 as I do some mornings for breakfast. Except, that morning was very different. Shortly after eating the cup of cheerios (dry) my stomach began to hurt & I felt a wave of nausea. From that point, I was vomiting for the next 6 hours before I went to the emergency room. Because I’m type 1 diabetic and was vomiting for more than 2 hours, I typically seek medical attention because I will suffer from dehydration and hypoglycemic. I immediately threw the box of cheerios out once I got home & haven’t had cheerios since & don’t plan on it. I was skeptical that cheerios was the cause of such symptoms but after reading into it, I believe it can be a strong contributor. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting
