Now there are reports of over 7,300 sick. and the FDA has initiated an investigation. We recommend anyone who fell ill after eating Lucky Charms, to report it, and to keep leftover product for testing. We will communicate procedures for testing to everyone who reports their case. But also, it is possible to get food poisoning from drinking milk. Like other products that come from animals, milk needs to be treated for it to be safe for consumption. Around 3:30 my stomach started aching. The Pain gradually got worse ! I had Repeated symptoms of Diarrhea and pain in my stomach i had never felt before. Around 7:00 or 8 pm, I had vomited a lot and it was a very unusual color , it was both green and brown looked exactly like mud. It felt like a flood came out from my mouth. I had terrible nausea and was unable to sleep as the pain kept up all night. During the night, my stomach pain continued to get worse and I had blood stools which had kept coming out leaving me in the bathroom for most of the night. These products were distributed in the state of Oklahoma through retail and wholesale outlets. There... See More have been no reported illnesses associated with subject cantaloupes, to date.
Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare instances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
Due to the 11/8/2023 recall of fresh, whole cantaloupes by Sophia Foods, LLC (DBA Trufresh) of Nogales, AZ, in response to a notification by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency of a potential contamination with Salmonella, Vinyard Fruit and Vegetable Company is issuing this recall. Cantaloupes recalled by Sophia Foods LLC were used as a raw material in Vinyard cantaloupe products listed below.
